More Information
What is the MEAP Metadata Template?
This template is a guide for creating metadata. The metadata template is a structured document (in this case, a spreadsheet) that provides guidelines and recommendations regarding the information teams should provide for objects in their collections. The MEAP metadata template is designed to help teams identify important pieces of information about items in their collections and to present that information in a way that will be meaningful and useful for users once it is published in the UCLA Digital Library.
How to use this template
- The template can be copied as a Google Doc or downloaded to be used as an Excel file. Note: You will need to be logged in to a Google account to use the copy function.
- Each row in the "Template" tab should correspond to an Object in the collection.
- Fields marked with an asterisk (*) are required. Every object in the collection should have information for each of the required fields.
